Now I Am Confused

The Insurgents in Iraq are threatening to attack and kill any who participate in the elections scheduled for January 30th, 2005. "Democracy is a Greek word meaning the rule of the people, which means that the people do what they see fit," said the statement. "This concept is considered apostasy and defies the belief in one God Muslims' doctrine." Also they say: "democracy is un-Islamic. Democracy could lead to passing un-Islamic laws, such as permitting homosexual marriage, if the majority of people agreed to it"

Ok, so it was fine to be forced to vote for a president per say when they supposedly voted for Saddam Hussein, though it was really not a free election. A brutal dictator who kills or tortures you or a family member if you speak against him or lets his sons rape your women, a man with no conscience who does as he sees fit, that is Islamic? Somehow I don't think so.

Show me all the Islamic laws Mr. Hussein followed during his 30 year reign and I will show you the ones he broke. The Quran
Killing of innocent people (his own people) is un-Islamic. Surely the young children found in the mass graves, which by the way they may have found yet another one this week they believe is from the Gulf War. Possible Mass Grave Found
Surely the children were not criminals. I find it hard to believe an infant or a 2 year old or a 5 year old is a criminal.
Those who speak of these threats hide behind the premise of a Holy War. What is holy about their actions? They are not only attacking coalition troops but Iraqi men, women and children, without a second thought for human life!

Their is no doubt to me the line in the sand has been drawn, not by President Bush, but by the Islamic extremists who want nothing but their own ideals to control the world.
The line is this:

Either you are with those nations who are trying to help struggling nations find their way to peace and freedom OR you are with those who want to bring nothing but utter chaos to the world. It's as simple as that. In my mind, whether you supported the war or not, there is a fundamental choice here. I have already made mine. With soul searching you must make yours.
All politics put aside, whether you like George W. Bush or not, this is about humanity.
